Mini Highland Games - Edinburgh Hen Weekends

Mini Highland games EdinburghBe a Scotswoman for a day (Knickers advisable)!

The Highland Games are world renowned. We can organise Mini Highland Games in Edinburgh for your Hen party weekend. Highland Games are a fantastic way to start off your party where you can show the boys that the girls are tougher!

The ceremonies start with the nominated Chieftainess and Clan being piped on to the field ready to compete!

The games start with tossing the caber(Good practice for the Hen)

Then things tame down a bit to Hurling the Wellies(A great laugh and keeps you a foot in front)

Followed by:

The Farmers Dash(if you snooze you lose).
Haggis Rolling(You need skill for this one as they have been known to bite).
Putting the Stane (Make sure you have had you porridge before attempting this one).
The day comes to a finale withWorld famous Tug of War(No pushing is allowed). At the prize giving ceremony the winning Clan will receive a bottle of *electric soup* (This can put hairs on yer chest and is best sampled in small doses unless you are looking for a really hairy weekend).

This is a brilliant way to have a laugh and show the boys up! It will also be a great source of conversation on the Hen night. (The guys always say they have BALLS! Prove them wrong cause the the girls have FLAPS and they know how to use them and give the guys some lip). This gives the girls a chance to let of steam before getting their war paint on for the night time party. Great for all ages and you can always say the mother-in-law is a tosser and likes a good wellie tossing day. (I did say wellie)

All staff are dressed in Scottish dress to add to the excitement(some maybe true Scots men? Check their shoes for hairs or dandruff?)
The games start at 10.30am and last about 3 hours depending on the size of your party
Minimum of 10 and maximum of 15 per Clan.
The games are held next to an old castle and the atmosphere is electric.(There wasn't any electricity when this place was built but be prepared to be pleasantly shocked)
The easiest and cheapest way to get to the games is by tax as they are just a short drive from the city centre.

The highland games were great fun, everyone really enjoyed themselves. Also nice that it was held in castle grounds.
