Darlington

This erstwhile sleepy Saxon settlement of Darlington nestled along the river Skerne has come a long way to be a favourite party destination of vibrant hues. It is an upbeat market town presided over by the majestic St Cuthbert's church, one of the oldest churches in this part of the country. Darlington is famous for being the birthplace of the first passenger railway line from Sheldon to Stockton-on-Tees way back in 1825.
