Five-a-side in Manchester
Five-a-side in ManchesterManchester's Powerleague centres could offer footy fans the ideal excuse to blow off some steam.
Perhaps the perfect place for a kickabout, the open air centre just outside the city centre caters for work colleagues, mates and just about anyone else who fancies showing off their ball control.
The organisers also play host to a number of leagues, both business leagues and less formal events for men and women.
Floodlit to allow for play even in the depths of a Manchester winter night, the pitches are one of 500 sites dotted around the country.
Additionally, those who have a little more to offer in the skills department than the hit-and-hope which England managed in this summer's World Cup could find that they pick up some silverware, as a number of tournaments are regularly held at the Manchester centre.
Challenges from Nike and Xbox have been held recently, with more in the pipeline, although if it all goes wrong there's always the infamous Manchester rain to use as an excuse!
