Five-a-side at Goals Birmingham

Sporty stags and hens might want to celebrate their last days of freedom with a bit of the beautiful game.

Whether you're a hardcore supporter or an armchair fan you're guaranteed to have a laugh at the football fantasy that is the newly-opened Goals five-a-side centre in Birmingham's Star City

The centre uses floodlit rubber-crumb synthetic grass pitches, which are the same as those used by top European clubs and these are available to hire between 9.00 and 23:00 seven days a week.

Smack bang in the middle of Europe's largest urban entertainment complex, there's plenty of places to move on to afterwards, including a 34-screen Vue cinema, the biggest casino in Europe, an indoor ski slope and a whole bevy of bars and restaurants.

This is a long way from playing with jumpers for goalposts, as the venue features hot showers, changing and locker rooms and a sports bar complete with Sky Megascreen so you can enjoy a drink afterwards.
